Asada Shino, otherwise known as Sinon online, is a main character in the Sword Art Online series, after being introduced in the shows second season. Sinon began playing VRMMO games starting with Gun Gale Online, where she become renown as the game's most skilled sniper.
In the real world, Sinon has black eyes and wears half-rimmed glasses. Her hair is short and dark, with the hair next to her fringe tied up with a pair of ribbons.
In Gun Gale Online, Sinon has light blue hair, highly resembling her human style, replacing the ribbons with hair clips. Her combat attire is exposes a lot of her skin to any onlookers. Exposing most of her waist and thighs, her under-armour covers her chest and back, with a green and white long-sleeved crop jacket. Her pants are stylised to match her jacket, while exposing her inner thigh, where each is covered by a single strap. Sinon also wears a white scarf with a single black line down the middle, with each end flowing down her back, she utilises this as a mask for her mouth in some occasions.
When transferring her character to ALfheim Online, Sinon plays a Cait Sith race fairy, with blue hair, cat ears and tail. With her existing skills in long-ranged weaponry, she battles with archery skills allowing her to hit targets well outside the bow's typical combat range.
History
Born in 2009, Sinon was only two years old when her parents were involved in a tragic car accident, resulting in the death of her father. Moving out of Tokyo to live with her grandparents, Sinon took to herself to need to take care of her mother as they grew older and closer together. At the age of 11, Sinon and her mother became the target of a armed robbery at the local Post Office they were attending. The gunman, armed with a Type 54 handgun used Sinon's mother as a hostage, threatening to kill her if his demands were not met. In an attempt to rescue her mother, Sinon attacked the gunman by biting him on the arm, dropping his gun in the process. Sinon picked up his pistol and shot him in the chest, withstanding the injury, the gunman attempted to fight back, before Sinon promptly fired two more times in retaliation, resulting in his immediate death with a bullet to the head. This event would give Sinon lasting trauma, with anything object resembling a gun would bring back the memory of the incident. When Sinon was 15, she met Shinkawa Kyouji at her local library, Shinkawa was an established player of Gun Gale Online, and the two thought it might help Sinon overcome her fear of guns from first hand experience within the game.

Good Series, Not Really For Kids
While the series has the positive message of sticking with your friends and Ichigo isn't the worst character for your kids to emulate there is a lot of violence and said violence gets darker as the series progresses. The language is also pretty bad if you're watching the English dub.
